We are looking for a Shop Technician to help us provide safety, security, and peace of mind for our clients. Allpoints Fire Protection Ltd. works in a variety of industries, including schools, hospitals, local businesses and even natural resources with mines and mills.

We service clients from Haida Gwaii in the west, to the Alberta border in the east; from 100 Mile

House in the south, to the Yukon border in the north.

**Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to**

Fire Extinguisher inspection, testing, and repairs
Hydrostatically test specification cylinders to Transport Canada Standards
Shipping & receiving
Assistance with inventory
Maintain service equipment
Complete and submit all task related documentation in timely manner
Provide high level of customer service

**Required Qualifications**

Valid Class 5 driver’s license & clean driver's abstract
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5pm availability

**Preferred Qualifications**

High School Diploma and/or equivalent
Parts & Service, Industrial/Commercial workplace experience
WHMIS & Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificates
Forklift Operator Ticket
Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
Mechanical background an asset
Occasional travel for work and/or after hours work
Willingness to train in order to earn necessary certifications and qualifications such as
ASTTBC Certification, Transport Canada Requalification of Cylinders Certificate,
Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate

**Allpoints’ Compensation Package Includes**:
Competitive wages from $19.00 - $30.00 hourly depending on experience
$1/hour contributed to RRSP following 6 months continuous employment
5 Paid Personal Days in addition to two weeks’ vacation earned in the first year
Medical and dental coverage, life insurance and long-term disability (half paid by employee and half paid by Allpoints after 3 months continuous employment)

**Salary**: $19.00-$30.00 per hour
