**Responsibilities**:
The Manager oversees and allocates work assignments and functions to support the interRAI Lab and several global projects. The incumbent will participate in the development of processes, provide expertise in response to client needs, and offer support and advice for process improvements or modified client services. The Manager will support the implementation of a variety of strategies, systems and procedures. The incumbent will serve as a principal source of information regarding administrative functions, and will monitor, provide analysis, information and reports for review and forecasting. The Manager will also participate in hiring, developing, scheduling and overseeing staff.

Each project may require the following activities:

- Support research process (e.g., ethics, data collection & analysis, reporting, development of form/manual content, knowledge mobilization)
- Compose reports for funders and project partners (e.g., government representatives, community organizations, mental health facilities) for both academic and non-academic audiences
- Develop ethics for all project activities including developing protocols, amendments, and CERs
- Coordinate and facilitate ongoing meetings with key stakeholders nationally and internationally
- Facilitate team meetings
- Support 90+ agencies across Canada with 500+ professionals (government organizations, mental health organizations, school boards, not-for-profit organizations) implementing the Child and Youth Suite of Assessments
- Software Proficiency: ROLA II | SPSS | SAS | Venngage
- Support data analysis team on analyses from the assessment-to-intervention tools (e.g., data cleaning, binary logistic regression, Chi-square tests)

**Lab Administration Tasks**
- Coordinate and facilitate lab Meetings or smaller working groups pertaining to project needs
- Manage and track and update graduate student, staff, and work study contracts
- Manage financial activities such as procurement and utilization of funds for over $1 million budget using ROLA II and Mustang Market Financials.
- Lab Finances
- Monthly P-Card reconciliation
- Travel Expense Reports
- Lab purchases through Mustang Market
- Account reconciliation and budget tracking for 15 project and student accounts
- Financial reporting for all project accounts
- Prepare Tri-council grant submissions (i.e. Coordinate participants, prepare budgets, ROLA, proposals, etc)
- Train students in relation to access to repository, data sets, understanding scales and algorithms, etc.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Undergraduate Degree in Business Management/Administration
- Preferred, Masters or PhD in a related area

**Experience**:

- 5 years' of administrative, human resources, and/or financial experience
- Experience managing staff and projects; experience with strategy implementation and operationalization preferred

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

- Knowledge of general office procedures
- Familiarity with best practices for assessing, developing and implementing new business processes and procedures
- Familiarity with financial budgeting and principles
- Familiarity with Human Resources principles and practices
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in building a strong collaborative team and leading people
- Familiarity with University policies and procedures preferred
- Analytical skills in the areas of financial and business management to draft proposals, forecast expenses and monitor other relevant outcomes
- Ability to effectively drive and manage change initiatives that align with organizational strategies and/or provide opportunities to increase efficiency
- Ability to foster collaboration and respect among team members
- Ability to establish effective routines for excellent communication with all members of the team to maximize productivity
- Customer service skills with a desire to achieve results in a professional and timely manner
- Ability to promote individual growth by encouraging others to learn new skills and develop themselves
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to quickly re-allocate resources and adjust priorities in response to unexpected events or changing circumstances
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
