**Bookkeeper/Finance Clerk**
Part time (hourly) to start, with the potential to lead to Full-time. Position is based in Victoria, BC
De Armond Corporate Services Ltd. is looking for an experienced **Bookkeeper** who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, with a growing team, in a diverse bookkeeping environment Our group of affiliated companies provides a variety of products and services in the fields of Conference & Association Management, Manufacturing, Computer Software Development and Wholesale Construction Supplies and gives us exposure to a broad mix of local, national, and international markets.
Working with our lead bookkeeper, your primary responsibility is to provide full-cycle bookkeeping for our Wholesale Construction Supplies company and assist other members of the Finance department in their duties as assigned.

**Primary responsibilities of this role include**:
- AR: processing deposits, updating customer accounts, issuing statements and following up on past due payments
- AP: processing supplier invoices and bills, issuing payments, balancing to vendor statements
- Recurring bookkeeping activities including:
- Monthly bank account and credit card reconciliations
- Monthly and quarterly filings including GST and PST
- Weekly and monthly review of AP and AR
- Weekly and monthly review and reporting on cash flow
- Electronic and physical filing of all paperwork
- General administrative support when required
- Preparation of year end documentation and review
- Data entry and other duties as assigned
**Required Skills**:
- Proven bookkeeping experience (minimum of 3 years)
- Power user of Sage 50 Accounting system
- History of working with a Point-of-Sale and inventory system
- History of working with AR AP functions via AFT banking; cheque runs as needed
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Proven ability to identify and correct inconsistencies and errors in entries
- Efficient data entry skills
- Competent user of MS office, especially Excel and other Microsoft systems
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in English
- Experience working with Windward POS considered an asset
- Experience working in multiple currencies
- Additional language skills - written and verbal
- Accounting or business administration diploma/degree - post secondary experience
- Experience working with Microsoft Sharepoint

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
