**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Oversight**: Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on residential and commercial sites.
- **Team Leadership**: Manage and lead site crews, subcontractors, and other workers to ensure efficiency and quality.
- **Safety Compliance**: Enforce safety protocols and regulations, conducting regular safety inspections to ensure a safe work environment.
- **Scheduling & Coordination**: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate deliveries, and manage resources effectively.
- **Quality Control**: Monitor work progress to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- **Client Relations**: Act as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, incidents, and progress reports.
- **Problem Solving**: Identify and resolve any issues or delays that arise during construction.
- **Budget Management**: Ensure projects are completed within budget and flag potential cost overruns.

**Required Knowledge and Experience**:

- **Experience**: Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision with a focus on both residential and commercial projects.
- **Education**: Diploma or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is an asset.
- **Knowledge**: Thorough understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety standards in Ontario.
- **Leadership**: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor others.
- **Problem-Solving**: Excellent analytical and decision-making skills for addressing on-site challenges.
- **Communication**: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in project management software and tools; familiarity with construction drawings and blueprints.
- **Certification**: Valid certifications in construction safety (e.g., Working at Heights, WHMIS) are required.
- **License**: Valid Ontario driver’s license
