Safety Manager

Job Overview:
Quick Six Transport Inc is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join our team. As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for our employees and drivers. You will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a culture of safety within our organization.

**Duties**:

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Provide safety training to employees and drivers on various topics including defensive driving, hazardous materials handling, and emergency response
- Maintain safety records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and make recommendations for improvement
- Stay current on industry best practices and trends in safety management
Fleet of 10 trucks
Monday to Sunday 9 am to 1 pm ( 7 days)
Handle any tickets or log book related issues with drivers
Handle any ticket related issues with lawyers and courts
Handle any hiring process required for all drivers
Renew all authorities to operate
File all taxes
All PMs on equipment quarterly
Create and organize sheets for maintenance records of all equipment
Handle any audits
Any equipment breakdowns must find the competitive repair shop
Speak to the drivers and advise them where to fuel the trucks according to our discounted prices

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in the transportation industry
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA standards
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify safety risks and develop solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety protocols
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate safety records
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Quick Six Transport Inc is an asset-based trucking company with 10 trucks and 4 office employees. We specialize in transporting a wide range of goods from general household items to refrigerated products year-round. Our company values safety as a top priority and is committed to providing a safe working environment for all employees.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

- Secondary School (preferred)
