**The Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia** (WCB Nova Scotia) provides workplace injury insurance to Nova Scotians. Every day, the WCB Nova Scotia works with Nova Scotian employers and employees, supporting them with injury prevention and return to work and, when injuries do occur, working to reduce the human and financial impact of workplace injury.

WCB Nova Scotia is governed by a Board of Directors, which consists of four employer and four worker representatives, along with a Chair and Deputy Chair, that oversees the operationalization of the Workers' Compensation Act (the Act), including a mandate for injury prevention. WCB Nova Scotia is accountable for establishing the vision and internal policy direction for the Workers' Compensation Board within Nova Scotia and working within a partnership agreement with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration (LSI).

WCB Nova Scotia is seeking its next **Deputy Chair** to join the Board of Directors.

**Key Responsibilities**

The Deputy Chair will need to be familiar with the ongoing work of the Board of Directors and the WCB and will sit as a non-voting member of the Board unless required to act for the Chair. They will need to provide assistance to the Board Chair, and actively participate in the discussion and work of the Board.
