Thunder Bay, Canada Little Lions Child and Family Centre Full time

Do you have a love for cooking? Little Lions Child and Family Centre is recruiting for an energetic, enthusiastic Cook for a permanent part-time role (25 - 30 hours per week)

Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor, the Cook will:

- Prepare a set meal of morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack for children aged 6 months - 12 years
- Be able to substitute ingredients in recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions i.e. gluten free, vegan, vegetarian
- Place grocery orders as required
- Communicate effectively with educators to ensure proper food service
- Maintain a clean, neat and prepared environment at all times; adhering to food safety guidelines
- Additional duties as required

Qualifications:

- Minimum two-year experience in cooking for groups, preferably in a childcare setting
- Familiarity with planning and implementing seasonal menus
- Safe Food Handling Certification (must have)
- First Aid/CPR Level C (must have)
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check, current within 6 months (must have)
- Demonstrated ability to work positively both independently and as a team player
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.29 per hour
