Production Supervisor

Our Production supervisors are responsible for the execution of the production plan, sustaining 5S activities, maintaining a safe workplace, and all activities involved within their assigned area.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Supervise day-to-day activities of direct reports
- Implement and manage 5S activities including monthly audits
- Ensure all safety regulations are being followed and monthly safety audits are performed
- Ensure all ISO quality procedures are being followed. ie FIFO and Product Identification
- Ensure all pre use inspections are being performed
- Perform cross training within group and keeps training records current.
- Identify resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
- Ensure high quality and timely production of all deliverables
- Provide direction and supervision of employees
- Provide and perform performance evaluations to employees
- Serve as the primary contact and ensure appropriate liaison with all departments including Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality and Sales
- Ensure employees follow standard work times.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree or min 3 years supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership, self-confidence, motivation, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment, and determination skills are all needed
- Ability to multitask while under pressure
- Experience with Microsoft Office required and experience with other software (AS400, MAPICS) is a definite asset
- Ability to read blueprints
- Computer skills
- Ability to work overtime if required
