**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Supervise, inspect, coordinate and engage in all work on site
- Maintain a safe and clean job site and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced
- Provide technical direction for the project
- Control and monitor labour, material and equipment
- Assist the Project Manager in developing the project schedule
- Maintain progress on site as per schedule
- Inform sub-contractors about scheduled dates for start of work scope (min. 2 weeks before)
- Inform the Project Manager of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultant’s design drawings.
- Report all deficient work to the sub-contractor and Project Manager
- Organize trade and safety meetings
- Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required
- Expedite the resolution of any problems or conflicts that arise on site
- Check and approve reports (daily, deficiency, safety)
- Monitor unit rate and hourly work
- Direct the purchase of building materials where required, as per agreement with Project Manager and generated project budget
- Create request for information
- Ongoing maintenance of as-built drawing set
- Inspect all machinery and equipment
**Skills, Experience and Requirements**:
- 10 years of work experience as a construction site supervisor on ICI and/or low to mid-rise residential construction projects
- Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act and Ontario Building Code
- Ability to work productively and cohesively in a team-oriented environment
- Must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and be reliable in nature
- A valid Drivers License is required, as is a reliable mode of transportation to get to site
- Excellent communication skills; able to work with both colleagues, supervisors, sub-trades, and customers
