**Responsibilities**:
The Student Transportation Planner may undertake planning, coordination, research, analysis and communications tasks in support of a broad range of planning projects and initiatives, including best-practice review, literature reviews, data collection, synthesis and analysis, research projects, policy review, drafting of reports and memos, and preparation of presentations.

**Qualifications**:
Requires completion of a minimum of two (2) years post-secondary education in an undergraduate degree program in a discipline related to urban planning/design, planning, geography, environmental studies or other related discipline. Must still be enrolled. Completion of courses in office procedures, word processing, database and spreadsheet software. Requires up to (3) months previous experience in planning related, data collection, data analysis, research and graphics software and a further period of one month on the job to become familiar with TransLink’s Regional Transportation Network.

**Other Information**:
This position is in the Research & Analytics department of the Transportation Planning & Policy (TPP) division. One function of the Research & Analytics team is to support TransLink's TPP Division use of transportation-related data for analysis and visualization This person will be working with both spatial and non-spatial data to analyze and help build tools that are important to TPP’s planning and decision-making processes. Experience in FME, ArcGIS, Tableau, PowerBI or SQL are an asset.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

**Work Schedule**:
37.5 hours per week.

This is a full-time temporary position for four (4) months, with a possibility of a four (4) month extension.

**Work Designation**:
Hybrid

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.

**Rate of Pay**:
Salary $5,339.08 - $6,398.32 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).

The Total Compensation Package includes Extended Health, Transit Pass and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan upon eligibility.
