Our Client is a major Law Firm located in DT Montreal. They are looking for a strong Financial Systems Analyst to support the financial systems and business intelligence requirements for finance at the firm.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director, Management Reporting and Business Intelligence, the person in the role of Financial Systems Analyst will be primarily responsible for providing financial systems support for the firm’s Montréal, Toronto and New York offices. The person in this role will work closely with our Financial Systems Specialist.

Primary Responsabilities
- Provide technical expertise regarding the firm’s financial systems (Aderant, ChromeRiver, InTapp Time, etc.)
- Perform technical research to resolve end user technical issues
- Assist in evaluating and testing system upgrades
- Maintain system configuration and security, including access and rights
- Develop system documentation, training and reference materials
- Translate business requirements into technical and system solutions
- Resolve log system issues and, where necessary, escalate issues with vendors and IT
- Assist in developing SQL alerts and system inquiries, and provide support to business intelligence team
- Recommend best practice solutions
- May provide additional duties as required by the role

**Qualifications**:

- Three or more years of experience with accounting software and enterprise resource planning
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or IT systems in a related field
- Experience with database management systems
- Proficient in SQL scripting
- Experience with business intelligence tools
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, as well as presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to liaise with functional and technical domain experts

Assets
- Experience in a law firm or other advisory service sector
- Experience with Aderant
- Experience with database management systems (Microsoft SQL Server)
- Experience with Microsoft BI - SQL Server Reporting Services or Power BI
