Safety Designate

Operating since 1978, Lydale is one of western Canada's most trusted disaster clean-up and reconstruction specialists. We are currently seeking a Safety Designate for our Saskatoon office.

Responsibilities;
- Oversee all areas of safety and compliance and work with support staff to meet company expectations and government regulations
- Maintain training records and ensure compliance
- Assist with incident investigations, analysis and preparation of incident reports and summaries
- Lead Safety meetings and orientations
- Perform job site safety checks
- Assist with Job Hazard Assessments, project start-ups and safe work procedures
- Maintain COR certification
- Maintain safety statistics
- Other duties include, but not limited to;
- Fleet maintenance including vehicle inspections and logs
- Maintenance of warehouse, shop, and yard
- Equipment maintenance and tracking
- Delivering/picking up drying equipment and various construction materials from site

Skills and Experience;
- 2 years experience in a Safety role
- Industry courses and certifications
- Proficient in MS Office products
- Ability to train basic safety courses, whims, fall protection, etc.
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of mould and asbestos would be considered an asset
- Construction background preferred

Must have/supply;
- Valid driver’s licence with clean abstract
- Security check
