Savanna Drilling Canada is looking for a **HR Generalist **to join our team. As an HR Generalist at Savanna, you will be responsible for providing standard support to our Human Resources team. This position is full-time permanent and is based out of our Calgary, AB office location.

In business since 2001, Savanna Drilling offers an extensive fleet of modern drilling rigs and experienced personnel. From our extremely efficient and quick moving Hybrid and Top Drive Single (TDS) rigs to our Heavy and Ultra Heavy Doubles capable of drilling over 6000m (18,000ft) right up to our 1500HP Velox Triple rig platform with ratings of up to 750,000-pound hook loads, our fleet is capable of drilling virtually any onshore oil and natural gas well in the world safely and cost effectively. **Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following)**:
Recruitment and Onboarding Support
- Prepare job requisitions and post them on various job boards, the company website, and social media platforms.
- Assist in the recruitment process by closely working with hiring managers to screen resumes, conduct initial pre-screen phone interviews, and coordinate in-person interviews.
- Manage onboarding activities for all new non-rig employees, including preparing and issuing offer letters and new hire packages, ensuring all paperwork is completed and properly filed.
- Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure new employees have the necessary equipment and access.

Benefit Administration
- Provide guidance and support to employees in understanding and utilizing their benefits and managing disability-related concerns.
- Administer and manage company employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance and other perks of employment.
- Manage benefit enrolments, changes and terminations, ensuring accurate processing.
- Liaison with company benefit providers to ensure effective service delivery and assist in resolving any issues.

Disability and Leave Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees requesting or currently on disability leave.
- Manage disability related leaves, including short-term disability (STD), long-term disability(LTD) and other job protected leave of absences.
- Support and educate employees on the return-to-work process after a leave of absence, ensuring all relevant clearances and documentation are submitted prior to reinstatement of duties.
- Maintain accurate records of leave and disability cases, including documentation and correspondence.

Compliance and Reporting
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS and generate HR reports and analytics.
- Act as a super-user for Savanna’s HR systems, including assisting in developing HR system processes, troubleshooting, documentation, training, and audits.
- Prepare reports and perform internal HR audits of various benefit programs to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with Payroll to perform regular audits of benefit premiums and retirement contributions.
- Assist with tracking and administering various employee recognition programs, such as the Service Award Program and Referral Bonus Program.
- Assist in coordinating and managing change processes involving policy updates or changes.

HR Communications
- Assist in preparing and distributing HR-related communications, such as policy updates, company newsletters, and announcements.
- Assist with maintaining and updating the HR section of the company website and intranet.
- Assist with the administration of social media platforms and campaigns.

General Administrative Support
- Create and maintain job descriptions, HR forms/templates, and organizational charts.
- Conduct exit interviews as needed for assigned division.
- Prepare various letters, including promotion, transfer, employment verification and resignation acceptance letters.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department as required.
- Assist with special HR projects and other duties as assigned.
