As a Vinyl Room Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment within a temperature and humidity controlled clean room environment, to produce high-quality laminated glass products. This role involves ensuring strict adherence to cleanliness standards and production protocols to maintain safety standards and achieve optimal product quality.
**Responsibilities**:
- Operate and monitor laminated glass production equipment within a clean room setting.
- Place and align the interlayers between glass sheets using the correct materials according to specified in the customer orders, measurements, and quality standards.
- Ensure that the interlayer is evenly distributed and free from wrinkles or defects to maintain product integrity.
- Perform interlayer trimming with accuracy to ensure a high-quality finish and adherence to safety standards.
- Inspect glass products for defects or damage, such as cracks, chips, scratches, or any visual defect; report any issues to supervisors and ensure that damaged products are properly handled and segregated to avoid affecting production quality.
- Maintain clean room standards by following strict protocols for cleanliness and contamination control.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent contamination.
- Adhere to a set production schedule; ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Operate crane to handle and relocate interlayer rolls within the clean room.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support overall production goals and operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and management.
- Ability to stand throughout the entire time on shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and throughout entirety of shift.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, in a continuous manner, in a fast paced environment including lifting and extending arms through entirety of shift.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Experience with clean room and crane operation is an asset.
