The opportunity
The AVP, Private Wealth Specialist is responsible for achieving strategic business development objectives to build and maintain a high-value portfolio of private wealth clients, with average AUM greater than $500K, in the Ontario market. Using a tailored, client centric approach, the incumbent will work closely with partners to develop the right solutions, including insurance and banking, to broaden relationships. This senior individual contributor role is the face of CWB Wealth Management in the market.

Business Development & Client- Provide full-service solutions for clients with the view to be every client’s primary financial partner.- Deliver exceptional client experiences at every interaction and complete plans to continuously build the client experience, in line with CWB WM’s brand promise.- Be accountable for investment and financial planning advice, proactive client management, including appropriate/timely monitoring, due diligence and recommendations working together with the Client Portfolio Managers and Senior Planners.- Undertake and drive independent sales activities to achieve AUM and new client objectives.- Responsibility to actively refer to other business partners both within across CWB Financial Group and respond optimally to reciprocal referrals.- Create & manage an independent marketing plan that includes considerable portions of time being devoted to a call program and developing self-generated leads, to achieve targeted business growth.- Use existing, well-established sphere of influence with industry and other external contacts to generate new business opportunities through referrals, as well as a targeting calling program.- Strongly established skills in structuring solutions to meet client needs, bringing to bear internal partnerships and specialists where appropriate.- Effectively use client relationship management tools to support performance management, activity planning and sales processes, including building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
Grow Industry & Market Knowledge- Maintain expert knowledge of clients and prospects, market, competition, and economic factors, in conjunction with robust understanding of key market issues and trends.- Identify and respond to changes, establish action plans to address customer issues and priorities; provide ongoing, regular, and clear advice and communication on client solutions as well as the firm’s investment strategies and outlook.- Stand apart to enhance CWB and personal brand profile by being active in the business community, participating in industry & client events.Successful incumbent
