- Reporting to the Divisional Business Manager, this position is responsible for providing administrative support for the office of the Associate Deans in the School of Business.**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Completion of a two-year diploma in Office Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five years administrative experience in a similar position; post-secondary work experience is an asset.
- Successful experience working in a confidential environment.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Proven ability to meet changing priorities, multitasking, work to deadlines and make responsible decisions while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Have a full command of the English language both written and oral.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to inquiries and complaints and resolve issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Excellent interpersonal, organization, planning, coordination, problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Be able to meet and deal effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds in an information-exchanging situation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the multiple demands of a large division.
- Ability to establish priorities for work assigned or accepted on knowledge of policy and practices and/or understanding of the nature of the work of the Division.
- Be able to independently draft correspondence and reports of a routine nature based on knowledge of established style and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain tracking systems.
- Demonstrated ability to create agendas, record and distribute minutes
- Experience with effectively maintaining an electronic calendar including creating and maintaining appointments, reminders of commitments and tasks as well as preparing and organizing materials for such.
- Demonstrated ability to type 50 wpm.
- Have a basic understanding of the School of Business structure and programs.
- Experience with preparing and organizing meetings.
- Experience with dictation and transcription an asset.
- Have a general knowledge of post-secondary education with particular reference to organization, terms and titles in common use.
- Experience with hand held and portable electronic devices, and laptops, experience with MAC an asset.
- Experience with Skype for Business, SharePoint, FAST, teleconferencing, BANNER, Advisor Connect, and computer troubleshooting is an asset.
- Ability to travel between campuses is required.
