The firm, along with our partners, manages the entire development process, including land acquisition, entitlement, design, financing, construction and managing the operating assets. After developing for over 15 years in the US, while winning awards in every locale, Campus Suites is now one of the most prominent developers in the Student housing space in Canada, with assets in Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, and St Catherine’s and more on the way

The Role:
The Manager, Real Estate Procurement and Retail Services role at Campus Suites is a multifaceted position. Reporting to the President and Vice President of the company, this individual should expect to be involved in several core functions, including Procurement, Retail Management and Asset Management. The Manager, Procurement and Retail services should be comfortable on a construction site, making visits to properties under management, periodic travel and doing something different every day.

Development:

- Attend design and construction meetings (potentially on site), prepares and distributes minutes of meeting
- Run procurement program for items such as FF&E for large development projects
- Evaluate product options to ensure product quality and alignment with project budget
- Liaison between supplier and construction team to develop, schedule and manage delivery and installation logistics
- Manage supplier relationships
- Assist with tasks related to preparation and negotiation of contract documents, and other development duties as needed.

Retail Services
- Work directly with retail leasing brokers to find and install new retail vendors into mixed use properties while maintaining diverse variety of offerings
- Coordinate contracts with retail vendors
- Coordinate with Property managers and maintenance staff with retail designers, engineers and contractors to ensure new vendors have the required resources to build out their spaces
- Manage ownership’s relationships with retail vendors and, along with the greater team, works to support vendors
- Fills retailer maintenance requests including creating and dispatching work orders to appropriate internal and external service providers and relaying appropriate information to front line facilities managers
- Participate in establishing and monitoring common area maintenance budget

Asset Management
- Work closely with property management and leasing teams as well as development leads and other internal and third-party consultants.
- Identify and recommend value initiatives within the assigned portfolio; including lease strategies, asset repositioning, development opportunities, supplier contracts, etc.
- Help establish and approve annual property operating budgets and oversees the budgets post approval
- Develop strong relationships within the real estate industry to ascertain market and asset trends

Requirements for the Role:

- Bachelor Degree
- 5+ years of project management experience
- Computer Literate: Proficiency Microsoft Office products
- Experience in Construction industry is an asset
- Experience in Real Estate is an asset
- CMC Not required

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:
