The Calgary Airport Authority manages and operates YYC Calgary International Airport and YBW Springbank Airport and collaborates with the many partners who make up YYC - from airlines to government agencies and retail outlets. This is an exciting time to join our #YYCCrew and drive YYC forward as one of Canada"s best airports **WHAT YOU WILL DO** Under the supervision of the General Manager, Supply Chain, you will work closely with the entire team, learning the fundamentals of purchasing and contracts within an airport environment through a variety of responsibilities. This team proves time and time again how hard work pays off, and like the rest of our people, they know how to have fun **RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**: - Assisting Buyers and Sourcing Specialists in their areas of supporting internal business units - Reviewing purchase requisitions, and converting to purchase orders are required - Reviewing inventory settings and performing system adjustments to ensure adequate inventory is maintained to support operations - Assisting in the creation change orders and sub-contracts, validating vendor documentation, supplier information - Providing administrative support to the Supply Chain as required - Undertaking the expediting process **WHAT YOU BRING** - High level of accuracy and analytical skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work as part of a high functioning team and communicate effectively with others - Academic background in Supply Chain or Business is required; Preference will be given to third year students **WHAT ELSE?** - To qualify as a summer student, you must be enrolled in and returning to a post-secondary institution following your work term. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a restricted area identification card (RAIC) - This role is eligible for a hybrid work model **WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT** It’s simple - we invest in our people because they are the backbone of our success.
