As a leading service provider representing top growers from around the world, and the premiere supplier of citrus for grocery and big box stores in the country, we are looking for the right individual to strengthen and become part of our Production Team in Airdrie, Alberta.

**Position Overview**: The role of the Production - Lead Hand is a key position within the plant at Global Citrus Group. The work of the Production - Lead Hand is to Help manage the daily scheduled production for all assigned commodities and assist to ensure proper setup and operation of production lines for bagging, top-seal and re-grading. You will also be required to monitor the staff on the line and record data.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Complete all daily production records.
- Data entry
- Setup and operate production lines for bagging, top seal, and re-grading
- Ensure all packaging used is in specification and signed off.
- Line supervision of staff
- Report any line issues to maintenance.
- Ensure all health and safety and food safety policies are being adhered to.
- Mentor and train production staff.
- Ensure quality of fruit is tracked throughout the shift.
- Ensure raw material is checked for FIFO.
- Communicate effectively to all departments as needed.
- Manage inventory of raw material in and out of the production lines.
- Maintain accurate repack and waste numbers.
- Maintain and develop current Food Safety Program in conjunction with the Management team.
- General cleaning duties.
- Assist in all other production related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a Lead Hand or similar role preferred.
- FLT and Power Jack Licence preferred
- Physically Fit
- Excellent work ethic and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.

**Working Conditions**:

- Flexibility to work shifts and weekends.
- Be able to work in coolers for short periods of time.

- Airdrie, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Production: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift/Power Jack Licence (required)
