Construction Safety Officer

Work closely with the Site Superintendent and General Contractor in coordinating safe work procedures and practices
- Assist in providing training to crew members on safety precautions, company policies, and job skills
- Assist the Site Superintendent and foremen in managing safety procedures on site to ensure worker safety
- Give site specific orientations to new and current workers
- Perform site safety inspections daily
- Filling out daily and weekly safety reports and notifying the site supervisor and site foremen of any potential hazards
- Assisting site supervisors in keeping a safe workplace for all employees and sub trades
- Assist site employees with site specific fall protection plans
- Strong organization, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge and experience in health and safety management systems and program implementation
- Promote health and safety in the workplace
- Work effectively with mínimal direction

**Requirements**:

- Needs to be reliable, have previous construction work experience
- Can communicate effectively and professionally with general contractor, superintendents, and employees
- Is a dedicated and self motivated who can meet required deadlines
- Has knowledge of WCB regulations
- Valid first aid
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in Word, Outlook and other computer/iPad programs as may be necessary in the performance of CSO duties

**Bonus if you have**:

- Experience with industrial, hospital, construction
- IPAC Certification
- English, Spanish, and Punjabi

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
