Calgary, Canada AbaData Full time

**About AbaData**

AbaData is a growing energy tech company building an integrated software platform that helps clients make better, faster decisions in the field and office. Our suite of tools supports critical workflows across pipeline integrity, field operations, regulatory compliance, equipment management, routing logistics, surface land data, and more.

We serve upstream and midstream oil & gas companies, utilities, renewables, and environmental teams helping them unlock value through real-time data, mobile-first field tools, and powerful GIS intelligence. From TRIAGE Pipeline Integrity to Field Ops, Equipment Management, and Reporting & Analytics, our platform is designed to connect teams, simplify operations, and drive measurable results.

**Position Overview**
We are looking for a QA / QC Analyst to join our software development team. In this role, you will work alongside and collaborate with another QA/QC Specialist to support our developers in testing new features, bug fixes, and product improvements.

You don’t need deep QA / QC experience—we can teach you. What matters most is your curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. This role is a great fit if you enjoy problem-solving, collaborating with developers, and contributing to products that are used by energy and field operations teams across Canada.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Conduct manual testing across various functionalities and platforms.
- Write clear and concise test cases and bug reports, including detailed descriptions of the issue, steps to reproduce, and expected results.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve reported issues efficiently.
- Participate in the development lifecycle by providing constructive feedback and suggesting improvements to product quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies and tools.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of testing activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Experience in software testing or a similar role.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

**What We Offer**:

- A competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits plan and a flexible health spending account.
- Flexible paid time off and complimentary parking.
- Career growth opportunities in an expanding company.
- Regular team building events and in-person socials with our Western Canadian offices.
- An opportunity to work alongside an exceptional team of accomplished developers and executives, including the former CEO and co-founder of GasBuddy.
