**Summary**:
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager on the daily operations and profitability of the store according to business plans and objectives. Daily operations include staff management, customer satisfaction, product presentation, inventory management and carrying out seasonal changes and promotional activities.

**Job Duties**:

- Support the Store Manager to manage all aspects of the day to day operation of the store.
- Assist Store Manager with recruiting, hiring and training seasonal sales professionals.
- Responsible for opening and/or closing the store.
- Complete all required bank and financial responsibilities at the store.
- Build customer relationships by providing prompt and exceptional sales and after-sales service.
- Determine customer needs and recommend the best solution.
- Ensure customer concerns are resolved with urgency and good judgment.
- Maximize store and personal profitability through suggestive selling, add-on sales techniques, and a strong closing rate.
- Foster and build a positive work environment.
- Effectively manage your sales staff performance.
- Assist in driving merchandising directives and standards to achieve financial targets.
- Stay knowledgeable about the products, services, promotions and policies and share this knowledge with the team.
- Coordinate with Store Manager and head office on all initiatives and programs.
- Ownership of CRM (ZenDesk) maintenance and sales leads.

**Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Completion of high school and College vocational or technical training.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in the retail industry.
- Minimum of 1 year’s work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Management experience preferred.
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.

**Working Conditions**:

- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Some overtime required.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Supervising: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail sales: 3 years (preferred)
