Job Description: Accounting Technician/Office Administrator/Bookkeeper

Job Purpose: You will provide office support and management by following administrative systems, monitoring procedures and policies and take committed oversight of the accounting department.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Maintain workflow by observing methods; monitoring cost of goods and reporting any discrepancies.
- Analyze operating practices and inventory tracking systems to ensure accuracy.
- Assist inside sales and purchasing staff with information as needed.
- Resolve any administrative problems by observing reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
- Ensure operation of office equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; evaluating and ordering new equipment if needed.
- Provide information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintain office supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops if needed.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as required.
- Complete AP, AR and Payroll on routine schedules.
- Ensuring all invoices, bills, cheques and ROA’s are handled properly
- Completing all government requirements in a timely manner, including GST, Payroll Remittance, Corporate Taxes, ROE’s and T4’s.

Skills/Qualifications: Reporting Skills, Administrative Writing Skills, Microsoft Office Skills, Manager minded and organized, Analyzing Information, Professionalism, Problem Solving, Supply Management, Inventory Control, Verbal Communication and numeracy, previous experience operating QB is an asset.

Business Administration Certificate or a minimum of 2 years in an office setting would be exceptional for this position.
