**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Oversee meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines in accordance with health regulations.
- Plan menus in collaboration with management, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to maintain stock.
- Train new kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and kitchen procedures.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and storage spaces.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team preferred.
- Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
