The Project Manager for Parks and Attractions has the responsibility of planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating the Galaxyland, World Waterpark and other Parks and Attractions renovation and construction projects according to schedules, specifications and budgets.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Overseeing the planning and execution for the construction and renovation phases for the Parks and Attractions renovation projects including the extensive ongoing Galaxyland renovation and rebranding project and will in include such responsibilities as developing and adhering to business plans, overseeing of the design, change order negotiations, site inspections, contract fulfillments, and related construction activities.
- Evaluating, assessing, and identifying related renovation and construction project needs including determining project teams and timelines for execution while preforming on the floor inspections, reviews, quality assurance and project management.
- Utilizing proven project planning skills and experiences to preform cost evaluations, product and contractor sourcing, contract negotiations, Gantt chart utilization, risk management, plan reviews and completion of required documentation and project tracking.
- Establishing and maintaining effective business relationships with both internal partners and external regulatory bodies while ensuring established timeline adherences by contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Utilizing previous construction experience to counsel on proper planning strategies and related construction and renovation development best practices and techniques.
- Conducting and attending required business project meetings and management of contracts, project schedules, building code adherence, capital budgeting, reports, and contracts.
- Working alongside Park and Attractions Management team, ride manufactures, engineers, and our internal maintenance, visual design, and Construction professionals for ride installations, renovations and/or relocations.
- Maintaining a strong and positive ongoing working relationship with Hasbro representatives and ensuring the proper adherences are achieved to visual and design requirements and brand specifications.
**Desired Qualifications**:
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience in the construction or commercial/industrial renovation industry in a decision making or General Contractor capacity.
- Post-secondary education in project management, construction management, engineering, business management or related trades-based certifications are all considered valuable assets for the role.
- Completion of the PMP designation is an asset for the role.
- Experience creating and leading the execution of large-scale related construction and renovation projects in a commercial environment with a strong focus on OH&S adherence and safe work practices.
- Exceptional time management, delegation and organizational skills are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and the ability to adapt to new software as required and knowledge or experience of AutoCAD as well as the ability to utilize Microsoft office software.
- Exceptional project management and people management skills with the ability to ensure all construction projects are executed in accordance with the project drawings, specifications and schedules.
- A high level of professional decorum complemented by strong verbal and written communication skills, an eye for details, and the capability to work with various trades people, contractors, technical personnel, executives and owners.
**Terms of Employment**:
- This is a full-time position required Monday through Friday.
- This is a salaried position that will depend on experience and qualifications.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
