This role requires the ability to work in-person at each of our correctional campuses at the Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Centre and the Edmonton Remand Centre.

We are especially looking for an instructor to teach the following courses:

- Math (Junior High to High School level)
- English (Junior High to High School level)
- Indigenous Studies (High School level)

**HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE**:

- Engage learners in the co-creation of knowledge through teaching and learning upgrading courses based on Alberta Education high school curriculum.
- Deliver face-to-face course instruction.
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
- Plan, prepare, and facilitate learning through materials and instructional practices that are in alignment with universal design principles and college values of anti-racism and inclusivity.
- Evaluate the learning outcomes and experience of learners through authentic and relevant assessments.
- Attend to learner and program records in accordance with College requirements.
- Potentially serve on College committees that support the institutional strategic direction.
- Share your knowledge and expertise and learn from your colleagues in faculty/staff meetings, professional development workshops, and other College functions.
- Actively engage lifelong learning by staying current with developments in your profession through participating in professional organizations and conferences.
- Use applicable educational technology such as Moodle and PeopleSoft.
- Communicate with faculty and management as needed.
- Act as a role model for learners by demonstrating professionalism.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Bachelor of Education Degree.
- Valid Alberta Teacher’s certificate.
- Familiarity with Alberta Education curriculum.
- Experience teaching Alberta Education courses considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience and training in adult education considered an asset.
- Experience with learners from diverse backgrounds is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a correctional centre or in a secure environment is considered an asset.

**SALARY**:Reflective of what you bring in terms of education and experience. This is a casual position, which includes an additional 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits. This is a Faculty role, therefore, there is a wide pay range; the Faculty Association Agreement outlines how pay is determined.
