**Locate Documentation Overview**
A locate is a legal document that identifies the presence of underground utility lines, issued by various Locate Service Providers (L.S.P.). Locate Coordinators play a critical role in continuously tracking and monitoring these locates to ensure the safety and efficiency of diverse projects from inception through completion. At Powerline Plus Ltd., Locate Coordinators collaborate closely with Project Coordinators within the Civil Construction Department to strategically plan, organize, map, and request locates for various civil construction initiatives. They actively engage in maintaining ongoing relationships with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Inspectors, Civil Foremen, Civil Supervisors, Project Coordinators, and external utility companies.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Completion of a one
- or two-year program in Administrative Assistant, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related discipline
- Construction (Civil or Electrical) experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Civil Supervisors, and the Civil Construction Manager to determine and submit locate requests.
- Monitor the locates database for ongoing projects and coordinate with the Project Coordinator to establish timelines for requesting relocates.
- Communicate effectively with utility companies to ensure timely receipt of locates.
- Conduct quality checks to confirm that the requested areas have been accurately located.
- Liaise with Rogers, Bell, and Enbridge Gas in the event of any utility damage.
- Review engineering blueprints and civil drawings for revisions from the original plans
- Coordinate with foremen to verify the validity of locates
- Submit Hydro Requests based on the specific job requirements
- Compile and send reports to primary Locate Service Providers for overdue locates
- Perform clerical duties, including word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, and handling faxing and photocopying of necessary locate documentation
- Execute various administrative tasks as needed
