You have been a retail flooring sales professional for a long-time and you are done with shift work. You want to be home by 5 or 5:30pm most days and only work one Saturday a month.

Sundays are always off.

Island Carpets and Flooring has been serving Richmond and the Lower Mainland for over 50 years. We have a relaxed, experienced sales team and in-house installation crews.

We have an opening in our sales group and are looking for a proven flooring sales professional who wants to join a talented team and operate without ‘eyes over your shoulder’.

We have several good house accounts available for you to assume immediately as one of our key salespeople is relocating to the east coast.

Our reputation is one of excellent customer service and quality products.

This is an outstanding opportunity to find a great home to fulfill your flooring sales career. This position requires strong previous experience in flooring sales, excellent management, and organizational skills, as well as integrity and conviction in the products you sell. Our service is second to none.

Our customers have been returning to us repeatedly for over 50 years because of these traits. Our employees stay with us for many years, for the same reason.

**You MUST live in the Lower Mainland today to apply**

**The Right Hire**:

- You have years of retail flooring sales in:

- Hardwood
- Premium Vinyl
- Carpet
- Laminate
- You are experienced at quoting commercial jobs, can read and understand design plans and complete accurate quotes from them without supervision.
- You are a great communicator, fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Other languages would be an asset but not a requirement
- You have a positive and upbeat attitude and treat all customers with respect, truth, and integrity.
- You understand that taking the time and getting customers into the correct selection of flooring and doing this at a fair price is critical to long-term success - yours and Island’s.
- You know how to measure and what to look out for with each flooring type and a variety of install situations.
- You are good with Excel, Word, Outlook and will be able to quickly learn and follow the Island Sales processes.
- You are quick with your responses and always provide accurate quotes.
- You have a valid driver’s license and have a clean vehicle.

For the correct individual, remuneration will begin at $4,300 (or more based on experience) guarantee per month **plus** commission.

No cap on earning potential.
