Port Perry, Canada Trading Post Quality Foods Full time

Now hiring team members to join one of Durham Region’s fastest growing retail food stores.

We are looking for individuals with high energy, and are enthusiastic to assist the team in providing an exceptional shopping experience for customers. Providing excellent customer service, maintaining product display counters, accurate product selection and digital scale code selection, preparing specialty items in batches. Associates may be required to work in colder areas, walk in coolers and freezers throughout their shift. Food prep, culinary or restaurant experience or a passion for food is an asset but not required. Some heavy lifting is required.

**Permanent, Full-time 4-5 days per week, must be able to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and Holidays.**

**Our store hours are,**
- **Monday-Wednesday 9am-7pm**:

- **Thursday-Friday 9am-8pm**:

- **Saturday-Sunday 9am-6pm**

**Responsibilities**
- Serving customers, answering customer questions and providing assistance
- Cutting, slicing and preparing produce for counter displays and customer orders
- Package, stock and rotate display counters ensuring that product is of high quality and has correct signage.
- Food prep of specialty items, including cutting, assembling and presentation of various products.
- Keep the work place, storage areas and display counters clean and safe at all times, performing general housekeeping as require, removing and disposing of excess packaging materials.
- Comply with company policies, Health & Safety policies, Food Safety and equipment use.
- Providing assistance to other departments as needed, may be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.

**Qualifications**
- Lift and or move up to 22kg (50lbs)
- Regularly required to walk or stand during work hours
- Reaching above shoulder height and below waist level
- Excellent customer service qualities
- Good communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Product knowledge is an asset
- Team player

Must be able to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and Holidays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
