- The Ministry of Transportation is seeking a skilled Business Information Analyst to support high-level decision-making through expert analysis, strategic communications, and proactive issues management. In this role, you'll craft executive briefing materials, lead special projects, and provide critical insights on emerging issues that shape Ontario's transportation policies and operations.

**About the job**: You will:

- monitor emerging issues and provide advice to senior management to define communications issues along with research and resolution strategies
- using critical thinking, conduct analysis of contentious issues impacting the Provincial Highways Management Program
- respond to requests for information
- work collaboratively within the branch and with other branches/divisions to prepare and coordinate briefing materials, presentations, reports and publications
- provide support to the branch management team by managing special projects.

**Analytical skills and issues management knowledge**:

- You have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- You have knowledge of issues management to research issues, identify potentially contentious issues and to advise senior management

**Technical knowledge**:

- You have knowledge of government structure, policy development and decision-making processes and legislative requirements
