Global Work & Travel is a premier online youth travel platform, with roots in Australia and a presence spanning six countries. We're expanding once more and seeking a proficient Operational Manager to become part of our team in **Vancouver, Canada.**

We're committed to delivering enriching travel experiences for young adventurers across the globe, from working holidays in Canada to teaching experiences in Italy, volunteering journeys in Costa Rica, and much more. Not only do we offer a wide variety of trips we also provide support for visas, tours, flights, and travel insurance. Established in 2008, we have helped over 70,000 individuals to explore the world beyond the traditional tourist lens.

An exciting opportunity is now available for an ambitious **Operational Manage**r with proven expertise in leading smaller teams, enhancing operational efficiency, and bolstering departmental profits, all while overseeing the overall operations of our Canadian office.

Key Responsibilities:
**Business Development**:

- Formulate and uphold a business development strategy aimed at steadily increasing the number of quality host organizations.
- Identify and engage potential suppliers that could enhance and scale our operations.
- Formalize agreements with partners and suppliers.
- Advocate for the company in coworking spaces, community gatherings, and industry events.

**Team Management**:

- Direct and manage the division to ensure all trip inclusions are delivered to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Cultivate a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, with an emphasis on exceptional customer service.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to all team members.
- Oversee daily performance, address team concerns, and uphold team satisfaction.
- Organize team development meetings focusing on skill building, time management, conflict resolution, personal development, and team cohesion.

**Cross-Office Communication**:

- Represent the Canadian division positively among other international offices.
- Support all teams with escalated customer feedback or concerns, employing problem-solving skills to achieve favourable resolutions.
- Stay abreast of travel industry trends and shifts, keeping the team informed about any changes in airline availability or pricing.
- Conduct regular meetings with other key departments to disseminate product information and pinpoint areas for improvement and development.
- Prior experience in an operational manager role within Canada.
- Experience in the travel industry or extensive personal travel.
- The ability to lead and motivate smaller teams (10-15 staff).
- High attention to detail.
- Strong managerial skills and financial management/reporting capabilities.
- A team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
