Student Success Programs Support Coordinator

**Purpose**:
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the planning and implementation of student success programs in the Faculty of Health.
**Education**:
University degree inclusive of courses in a field related to student development theories, student engagement, leadership studies, adult learning and/or training.
**Experience**:
1-2 years recent related work experience planning, organizing, and leading programs designed to support student engagement, student leadership and student success in higher education. Knowledge of student development theories specializing in student leadership, engagement and success in higher education.
**Skills**:
- Effective oral communication to obtain and relay information accurately in person, and over the telephone
- Good written communication skills
- Experience coordinating event planning and implementation
- Attending accurately to detail
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills. exercising tact, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with others
- Demonstrating initiative
- Exercising good judgment
- Effective organizational skills including ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with competing demands and frequent interruptions - Working effectively both independently and as a member of a team
- Punctual and reliableTechnical Skills required:
- Working knowledge of electronic mail and calendar (e.g. Outlook) - Intermediate MS Word and MS Excel
- Experience doing internet searches
