POSITION TITLE: Visual Merchandiser
- POSITION PURPOSE:

- Manage the GUESS business as per their respective division. Optimizing the sales potential; through analysis of the business and establishing areas for growth opportunity. They provide a wide variety of administrative, analytical and clerical support to the Account Executive as well as providing sales & customer service support to the Major's buyer or buying team with responsibility for ensuring client satisfaction with products, service, deliveries, and related client issues.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Establish and Maintain Store Merchandising and Visual Standards a) Create uniformity in all Guess departments (Men's, YC, Handbags & swimwear) based on direction from Guess Visual Dept., information found in Visual Directives, Product guides, in conjunction with store visual standards as well as sales meeting direction.b) Ensure all floors have the same basic flow of merchandise including Fashion, Key Items, Basics and Markdowns.c) Ensure all departments have standardized signage, images and vendor identification as specified by Guess Store Planning, to clearly distinguish the Guess department. Establish, suggest & execute ways to improve the Guess presentation within each of the shops that they own; location, signage, etc. d) Enforce markdown presentation by pulling merchandise together in department and display appropriately with percentage off or price point signage.e) The Visual Merchandiser will report directly to the store four days per week. They will work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday on a regular basis; weekends when needed. Their regular hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
- Communicate and Facilitate Teamwork and Partnership a)Take responsibility and ownership for all store issues and opportunities. Partner with the Guess team & Major's teams, when help is needed.b)Develop & maintain vital relationships with all levels of store management. Know who to go to for important decisions with each account, i.e. Regional Merchandise Manager (RMM), Store Managers, Divisional Sales Managers (DSM), Area Sales Manager (ASM), Department Managers as well as Visual Managers. They need to know and respect you, as a professional and integral part of the Guess business.c)Communicate all business, product, location, visual and staffing issues to Merchandise Coordinator, Account Executives and Guess Management through Store Visit Reports & photos.d)Stock the sales floor when & where required.
- Train and Develop Branch Store Personnel a)Lead seasonal seminars (Product knowledge) for all stores, reviewing current Fashion, Basics, and Key Items, pricing fabric issues, trends, advertising and markdowns.b)Directly supervise Guess selling specialists within stores.
- Drive Sales Through Business Analy a)Analyze individual door and total account business through constant in-store review of sales and stock, mall comparisons, business potential forms and basic to fashion sales to stock ratios. b)Be pro-active in implementing business opportunities. (i.e. Re-work sales floor to focus on presentation which suits store. Help to update account basics count and revise models if necessary. Ensure that fashion on order is in line with branch trends. React quickly to best sellers with Account Executive to maximize sales. Strive to obtain the best location for Guess within the department.
- a)Visit the Fragrance, Footwear, Watches, and handbag product outlets (independent stores and shops or locations within the major's environment) according to their scheduled rotation as well as locations that you identify. b)Examine the license business within each of the above mentioned locations, establishing areas for growth or improvement within each of the particular division. Gather information for the reporting process. Within the majors, build relationships with store staff &/or license staff to grow the entire GUESS business (Men's, YC, Handbags, Swimwear, Footwear, Fragrance, and watches).c)Complete and submit Brand Integrity reports and photos during the Tuesday office day.d)Execute special projects when required.
