This is a 6-week intensive, on-site course held from May 12 - June 20, 2025. It consists of a Core Component and four modules, each of which will offer 3 hours of on-site instruction weekly.

We are looking for one Module Instructor (~50 hours for the course) who, working in tandem with the Instructor of Record, will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administration for their module, including preparation for lectures/labs and evaluation of students. Focus will be on ‘hands-on practical’ learning.

This course builds skills in critical analysis, evidence-based professional reasoning, presentation, and synthesis of previous knowledge into current practice. Using current issues in health and occupational therapy practice, the required exercises of reflecting, reasoning, determining a personal perspective, and developing a plan of action strengthens current and life-long learning patterns. Integration seminars (core content) will be used to support the acquisition of these outcomes.

Module Instructors should have a plethora of experience in one of the following areas: acute care, mental health, or motivational interviewing, such that they are able to lead a module on the topic. Conversely, applicants may propose an area of practice in their cover letter.

**Qualifications/Requirements of Position**
- Entry Level to Practice Occupational Therapy degree. Subsequent Research Master’s degree preferred if Bachelor OT degree obtained. Previous teaching experience (especially with graduate students) is an asset. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to teach in person at the Halifax campus at least one day per week is mandatory.

- In accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement guidelines for Part time Academics
