Financial Controller

As a member of Paladin’s Finance team, the **Financial Controller** will have a pivotal role helping run our finance department across financial reporting, billing, AP, AR and connecting with our business executives to drive the business forward. This role is to be the Financial Controller of our fast growing US business, where you will be responsible for the finance function and a key stakeholder for our US executive team. As Paladin is experiencing high growth, we are looking for someone that can identify best practice and execute changes within their team and across operational units. The Controller will need strong people management skills, ability to partner with stakeholders at all levels of the business and strong sense of ownership in their team’s work. This position reports to the VP of Finance.

As a Financial Controller, you will be **responsible** for:

- Developing a best in class finance team and processes across Accounting, AP, Billing and AR functions
- Generating and communicating insights around key performance indicators that serve as a call to action for operational leaders
- Coordinate the close off process and prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and related schedules & notes.
- Liaise with external auditors to provide them with the necessary information for the annual audit
- Support accounting research to provide recommendations, ensuring the Company complies with all areas of ASPE and in accordance with established Paladin Security Group policies and procedures.
- Support all aspects of financial planning, operational reporting, ad hoc financial/business analysis, funding analysis, project management and financial modeling
- Work with external stakeholders regarding insurance, banking and legal where required.
- Work between finance and non-finance teams to support data collection, cross company initiatives, infrastructure development and process improvements and future acquisitions.

You bring a track record in analysis with the following **qualifications**:

- 7+ years of work experience in finance or accounting including a CPA or equivalent designation
- 3+ years of people management experience, and track record running a high performing team and developing employees into areas of greater responsbility
- Strong quantitative skills - highly proficient in excel, ERP, and strong foundation in financial concepts
- Ability to quickly understand business processes and contribute at a high level with superior attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with all levels of the business
