Ottawa, Canada MPN Capital Markets Full time

At MPN Capital Markets, the finance team plays an integral part in all processes of the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Reporting to the Controller, the **Finance Assistant **completes tasks in the areas of submission processing, commission calculation and split billing along with other special projects as required.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
Submissions
- Reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations on each new contract submitted by the Salesforce.
- Ensures that all deals get submitted to the supplier
- Follows up on any rejected contracts
- Enters contracts and payment plans into the master database, commissions database and CRM tool.

Commission Runs to Salesforce
- Reviews commission data produced by Q-Commissions
- Populates the Commission templates for the current week
- Analyzes each payment within the master database for accuracy and profitability for the company
- Record commission payments to salesforce in master database

Data Analysis and Reporting
- Incentive reports - create, maintain and report on a weekly basis
- Master database review, correct and reporting
- Create new Financial and incentive analysis and reporting from master data when requested

Other duties
- Performs other duties as assigned by Controller and President in conjunction with the associated companies

**Job Requirements and Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years recent related experience in financial capacity role.
- Proven experience in taking responsibility for analytical projects.
- Strong numbers acumen.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel is a requirement.
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and results-driven; prefers to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven prioritization, time management and project management skills.
- Highly effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude in dealing with private and confidential information; uses diplomacy and tact in all interactions.
- Working in an office environment 5 days a week (Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 4:30)
