YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the development and implementation of programs that will drive increased employee satisfaction and commitment levels such as employee recognition and rewards, engagement initiatives, etc.;- Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment, etc. and recommend needed changes for consideration;- Provide coaching and resources to employees and managers with respect to career development, compensation, staffing initiatives, contribution management and employee relations; advise and assist departmental managers on interpretation and administration of employee policies and programs;- Assist in compiling People and Culture metrics, maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning employee-related issues and key employee metrics (i.e., absenteeism, attrition, retention, time-to-hire, etc.); analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of employee issues and develop recommendations for improvement of organization’s personnel policies and practices;- Own the recruitment process across the organization.- Conduct off-boarding duties including terminations and administration of progressive disciplinary procedures; conduct interviews and investigations as required;- Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives;- Oversee the classification and rating of positions;- Control the process of all other employee life-cycle events such as leave of absence, including handling WSIB claims and other processes.- Follow budgets for People and Culture and employee operations as necessary;- Facilitate meetings for the purpose of identifying appropriate actions, developing recommendations and supporting other staff; attend meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or receiving information required to perform functions;-
- Other responsibilities as may be required.

WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field;- Completion of a professional development program or designation in Human Resources an asset;- Passion for people and proven ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization;- Strong knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Workday experience is considered an asset;- Knowledge of occupational health and safety processes and requirements in a manufacturing environment.;- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs;- Strong presentation and facilitation skills;- Strong data analysis and reporting skills; excellent research skills required;- Demonstrated ability to provide beneficial recommendations to solve employee related issues to regulations, laws and policies;- Skilled in change management, communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution and policy interpretation;- Exceptional attention to detail to support document control and compliance; and- Excellent ability to deal with employees sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
