**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Corporate Accounting Intern will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounting requirements including processing invoices and expenses, preparing detailed accounting schedules and accounting records along with other administrative tasks to contribute to the finance and accounting department.
**Primary Job Responsibilities**
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes including prepare monthly bank reconciliations and monthly invoices
- Prepare journal entries and assist with the financial close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Assist with research and preparing financial reports, budgets and forecasts
- Prepare monthly GST returns
- Process corporate and project vendor invoices and employee expenses
- Participate in process/systems improvements and efficiencies.
- Other ad hoc duties as required
**Qualifications**
**_Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities_**
- Enrolled in post-secondary education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Interest in the real estate development field is highly preferred, but not necessary
- Strong attention to detail as well as organizational skills
- Time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Team oriented, motivated, and collaborative
- Demonstrates a proactive and flexible attitude and a “how can I help?” approach
