**Role Overview**
We are seeking a trauma-informed Independent Contractor specializing in psychotherapy for trauma and grief. Responsibilities include creating a treatment plan, providing therapy, charting, and completing the billing process using our electronic system. This is a split fee position (60/40). Supervision and electronic equipment are not provided.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Treat any of the following populations: adults, children, adolescents, couples, or families.
- Ensure accurate intake and session documentation within our scheduling system.
- Use evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to each client’s needs (such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, etc.).
- Collaborate with TGI’s support and administrative teams as needed.
- Able to work virtually anywhere in Canada and/or in-person in Ottawa, ON with self-provided equipment, following client safety and confidentiality protocols.
- Participate in regular team meetings for collaboration and feedback.

**Qualifications**
- Registered and in good standing with a regulatory body to offer psychotherapy in Canada.
- Ongoing liability practice insurance.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (post-graduate preferred).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and comfort with technology.
- Open to ongoing professional development and feedback.
- Training in an evidence-based modality.
- Specialized training in trauma and grief is an asset.
- Fluent in English (a second language is an asset).
