Job Description:

The Leadership & Organizational Development team is dedicated to employee and medical staff leadership learning, growth, and development at Island Health. The team therefore plays a crucial role in creating the necessary environment for each person's experience of Island Health to be in alignment with our organizational values as well as with our organizational commitment to psychological safety, cultural safety, and cultural humility.

Reporting to the Manager, Leadership & Organizational Development, the Associate performs a full range of administrative and technical duties for leadership and development activities and programs. The Associate coordinates, organizes, and supports training and event-based programs within our Leadership Development Academy and work related to the Performance Assessment cycle and Talent Management activities. The Associate is responsible for the overall administration, support, and parts of the execution of the Leadership & Organizational Development programming.

The Associate works collaboratively with key stakeholders to support the Leadership & Organizational Development programming at Island Health. This includes collaborative partners with the Organizational Development team, select members of the Human Resources team, and Island Health leaders of all levels (and aspiring leaders).

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
A level of education training and experience equivalent to high school graduation, plus additional, relevant coursework in project management, logistics, events, and/or communications and three (3) years' related work experience in a large complex organization and coordination of large scale event programs.

**Skills And Abilities**:

- Experience working the field of Leadership & Organizational Development an asset.
- Proficiency in relevant computer programs including Outlook, word processing, database, Excel, Power Point, Zoom, Skype for Business software.
- Ability to prioritize workload and attend to detail, and complete varied assignments while dealing with frequent interruptions and deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proven numeric and analytical skills
- Excellent keyboarding and typing skills
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
