**About the opportunity**

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Handyman / Wood Worker job will be to repair pallets on a daily basis in addition to supporting maintenance group..

**KEY FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Support the Maintenance Department
- Maintaining a positive work environment
- Communicating and demonstrating consistent support of ABCRC’s values (customer focus, continuous improvement, integrity, valuing people and the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and guests)
- Effectively problem solve, follow-up on tasks assigned
- Ability to use and maintain power equipment
- Poise under pressure in fast-paced environment
- Able to function effectively as a team player plus have to ability to work alone at a high pace
- Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
- Goal focused with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS**
- Lean/5S experience an asset
- Able to function effectively as a team player
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to effectively interact with ABCRC employees.
- Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment

- Self-starter with creative mind and an ability to put ideas into practice

**EDUCATION AND TRAINING**

At minimum High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be ably to operate power tools
