**Overview**
**Job Summary**
The dental assistant will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a compassionate individual who is eager to contribute to a positive patient experience while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Provide chairside assistance, including suctioning, instrument handling, and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using dental software
- Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups for patients, while also performing reception duties when required.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area.
- Support patients with a friendly demeanor, making their experience as comfortable as possible.
**Requirements**:
- HARP Certified
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory for applicants willing to learn on the job.
