With this position, we're offering competitive benefits after tenure and a great place to work In this role, you will be responsible for the performance of manual and machine tasks in the setup, maintenance, and operation of a Brausse,or Bobst 106 sheet-fed die cutter to accurately produce product to customer specifications. Responsibilities including but not limited to: - Responsible for setup of a sheet-fed die cutter according to necessary specifications; observe machine operations and monitor quality and make adjustments, if needed. Inspect finished product to ensure quality specifications are being adhered to and customer expectations are met. - Maintain general knowledge and understanding of die cutting processes and equipment; must know the proper rules such as cut, crease and perforation and their characteristics as far as thickness and hardness. - Execute make readies within standard time constraints and free of damage to tooling or equipment. - Validate the setup of matrices and/or counters as pertinent to the job in progress and how they mount to the press. - Demonstrate an understanding of how dies are made, know nicking patterns, how rubbering works, and different rubbers available to maximize efficiency in the operation of the machine. - Must follow all applicable procedures and make recommendations for system improvements as identified. - Troubleshoot common issues related to downtime or quality issues when die cutting. - Responsible for operating within policies & procedures and maintaining compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements; including compliance with Occupational Health and Safety procedures and SafeStart practices. - Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: What you will need to succeed: - Five to seven years of related experience and/or training specific to sheet fed die cutting. Manufacturing & folding carton experience is a plus. - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. - Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16” measurement, do basic math, and some computer skills). - Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules, lift, push or pull >50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift. - An appetite for challenging goals and a drive to high achievements with a can-do attitude **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Additional pay: - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Night shift Work Location: In person
