Genius Math is currently hiring (contract / part-time) Mathematics Teachers to teach in person and online.

At Genius Math, we understand that every child is different and so are their needs to understand and grow comfortable with Mathematics. Through a strategic approach of combining assignments, in class learning (virtual) and mentorship, we strive to build confidence in mathematics.

**Responsibilities**:

- Teaching grades 1-12 (online and/or in person).
- Designing exams.
- Collaborate effectively with parents to increase student performance.
- Preparing math lesson plans as per the grade levels.
- Explaining mathematical concepts in easy and understandable terms to the students.
- Developing students’ interest in mathematics.
- Planning and creating teaching materials.
- Giving assignments to the students.
- Correcting the test papers and grading them.
- Building a strong relationship with the students.

Requirements and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, or a related field in Education (or working towards it)
- Patient, flexible, positive, consistent, dependable and cooperative
- Ability to positively supervise students
- Proven work experience as a Math Teacher, Teacher, or a similar role.
- Outstanding knowledge of mathematical formulas and concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of using various teaching and learning aids.
- Ability to pay extra attention to the slow learning students.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Canadian Certified Teacher is an asset (e.g. OCT)
- At least 2 years of Canadian teaching experience (online or in person)
- Excellent proficiency in English is a must
- French bilingual is an asset
- Must be a resident of Canada
- Must pass a background check as a condition of employment
- Pass Genius Math evaluation test

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5 - 20 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Evenings
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON
