Superior Glove Works Ltd.is currently seeking a **Textile Machine Mechanic** to work out of its Point Leamington, NL location for the midnight shift.

**Job/Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Midnight shift Team Lead, the **Textile Machine Mechanic **is responsible for the set up and maintenance of circular knitting machines, attending said machines to ensure production of quality products.

This individual is highly skilled at troubleshooting issues and maintaining quality standards. Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are both assets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Discuss work to be performed with team leader
- Inspect and test machine and other mechanical components
- Adjust, repair or replace mechanical or electrical system parts and components using hand tools and equipment
- Perform Machine Operator / Textile Machine Attendant duties and support in production
- Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment
- Take apart and clean the machine as scheduled
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Previous experience in manufacturing environment / factory setting required
- Secondary School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Post secondary education in small engine repair preferred; on the job training provided
- Mechanical skills aptitude required
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use hand tools safely and proficiently
- High attention to detail
- Effective problem solving skills / trouble shooting
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Follow and adhere to company’s policies and procedures

- 8 hour shift
