Miller Waste is currently seeking to add safe Relief Supervisor to our growing team. We are dedicated to providing a safe and positive workplace to all of our employees.

**Responsibilities**:
In the position of Relief Route Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but are not be limited to:

- Fill in for the regular Route Supervisor when he is on vacation or unavailable for other reasons.
- Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Must be confident in administering affective coaching and constructive feedback.
- You will be responsible for the scheduling of routes as well as record and time keeping.
- You will ensure the timely collection of curbside materials in the Ottawa East Region Residential contract while building positive employee relations.
- You will be effective at team building, while enforcing good Customer Service.
- Daily tracking and enforcement of productivity is critical.
- Coaching and training for lower performing drivers must be addressed on a daily basis and changes implemented when needed.
- Other reporting such as accident/injury reports and statistical may be required. Ensuring compliance with all Provincial laws and Miller Waste health and safety policies and procedures is mandatory.
- Compassion and understanding of individuals needs must be practiced when required and assistance must be offered and encouraged.
- The ability to promote a team culture must be demonstrated to eliminate or reduce

**Requirements**:

- You have an excellent attendance and performance record as well as proven team building skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and good organizational skills are mandatory.
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel and Outlook are a minimum requirement for this position.
- Must have the physical ability to collect materials, both with the automated system as well as manually.
- Familiarity with Ottawa East Region and its surroundings would be an asset. You must be available to work Saturdays when required.
