Reporting to the Manager Behaviour Analytic Services, the incumbent will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team that provides support and professional development to school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians with respect to Applied Behaviour Analysistic (ABA) practice, behavioural support strategies, functional behaviour assessments, behaviour support plans, and/or safe intervention plans.
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
Support and coach school teams in conducting functional behaviour assessments, developing behaviour support plans, and safe intervention plans. May also complete functional behavior assessments.
Develop and support the implementation of comprehensive intervention plans for students ranging from preschool to high school; with a spectrum of behaviours who have been either identified or unidentified.
Develop appropriate data collection techniques.
Facilitate communication between interdisciplinary team, including staff, parents/guardians, and/or community agencies.
Collect, summarize and analyze data related to the implementation of strategies, behaviour support plans, and safe intervention plans that may be communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
Model appropriate behavioural strategies for school-based staff. Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Applied Disability Studies, or Developmental Disabilities
Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA); Include certification number
Maintain certification with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BCBA)
Minimum two (2) years experience designing and implementing applied behaviour analysis programs for children and youth with challenging or at risk behaviour
Demonstrated expertise in the development and delivery of professional development, including coaching and mentoring - Proven ability to function both independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Exceptional organization, initiative and time management skills
Knowledge and experience in implementing positive behaviour strategies and supports
Demonstrated practical experience in the field of behavior analysis
Experience in a school board environment is preferred
A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
