We are looking for a Purchasing & Inventory clerk to join our passionate team.

**Description**:Purchasing and Inventory Clerks will be expected to issue purchase orders for product and supplies from our vendors with input from Management.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Minimum requirement of high school diploma
- College/University education is an asset
- Automotive knowledge is an asset

**Tasks**:

- Creating purchase orders that take into consideration the current inventory levels to meet the requirements of sales
- Maintain a purchase order schedule to ensure purchase orders are placed at the appropriate interval
- Take advantage of promotions offered by vendors to reduce inventory costs for the company on stocking items
- Review product lines for turn over and product life cycle. This will include altering product order points
- Confer with vendors to obtain product related information. This may include price, availability and delivery schedule as well as being certain of the terms and conditions
- Keeping track of backorders from vendors and sourcing alternate products to ensure that the company does not run out of stock
- Maintaining the companies vendor records with relevant and accurate information
- Data entry and filing relevant paperwork
