**Job Overview**

Reporting to the Service Manager, as the **Service Assistant Superintendent (New Home Service and Warranty Technician)** **you will assist in the coordination and management of warranty services to ensure delivery of excellent service quality. You also ensure compliance with quality standards, budgets and timelines while maintaining positive relationships with homeowners and related parties.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Triaging service work orders and coordinating corrective actions. Inspecting completed work and ensuring compliance with Qualico’s standards and legislations.
- Monitoring outstanding work, and providing updates to Homeowner Experience Coordinator on work status and expected completion dates.
- Conducting quality control warranty inspections for homes in the designated sector.
- Liaising internally to determine validity of service requests. Addressing and resolving client concerns in an efficient and effective manner.
- Creating warranty purchase orders and issuing associated back-charges in compliance with predefined back-charge process. Communicating with subcontractor/supplier accordingly.
- Promoting a safe work environment and adhering to Qualico’s Safety Program and relevant safety regulations.
- Providing supports to other projects and duties as assigned.

**Essential Requirements**
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of construction, warranty, and craftsperson or restoration service related experience.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Comfortable and proficient in using an assortment of tools to complete a variety of construction tasks relating to the correction of deficient items.
- Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and construction management software (NewStar, On-Location Warranty, BuilderGO, etc.)

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Working towards certification/completion of Moisture Control Technician and Building on Alberta Soils is an asset.

**Work Conditions**

You primarily work on site during regular business hours in completed homes with potential for exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards, inclement weather and dust. A rotating on call schedule is require for a week at a time. Travel to regional offices and overtime may occasionally be required.
