**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines, designed for milling and drilling metal blocks. The incumbent must be able to understand G and M codes and verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.

**SHIFT(S) AVAILABLE**
- **Day Shift or Afternoons?**

**SPECIFIC DUTIES**
- Use CNC machine to drill and mill metal blocks for tool and die manufacturing process
- Follow drawings and process instructions to ensure machined blocks are within the required specifications
- Use precise measuring equipment to confirm block measurements
- Accurately record machine hours usage per job
- Follow inventory protocols to maintain accurate tool inventories
- Work with engineers and toolmakers with any issues or changes in the machining process

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of 1 -2 years CNC Operator experience
- Understand and utilize the FCS System (clamping system)
- Ability to understand and interpret G and M codes using Fanuc controls
- Ability to use precise measuring equipment: Vernier, Micrometer
- Ability to understand CNC programs and part drawings
- Must have the ability to understand basic written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks.
